Work with me

Most of this site is free. This page is for when you need someone in it with you — freight movement, or fixed-scope advisory. They are deliberately different pieces of work.

Offer one

Move the cargo

Work with me to plan and arrange an actual shipment — from packed cargo details and origin through delivery and receiving readiness at the other end.

Who this is for: cargo that doesn't fit a booking platform.

What it covers

  • ·Machinery, transformers, presses, turbine sections, conveyor belting and imaging equipment
  • ·Ocean container programmes: FCL, LCL and repeat lane planning
  • ·Out-of-gauge, flat-rack and breakbulk moves, including lift and stow planning inputs
  • ·RoRo and rolling stock
  • ·Ocean and air charter assessment where the cargo or the date requires it
  • ·Urgent hand-carry and time-critical assessment, subject to cargo acceptance

How it works

  1. 1.You send packed dimensions and weight, commodity, origin, destination and the date the cargo has to be there.
  2. 2.I work through the realistic options: equipment and mode, route and terminal acceptance, the longest-lead approval, and what the whole move actually requires.
  3. 3.Booking and contracting is placed with the appropriately authorized providers, identified to you before anything is committed.
  4. 4.Delivery and receiving readiness is planned before arrival, not after the free time runs out.

Cargo acceptance, equipment availability and route approval are shipment-specific and carrier-specific. Nothing is committed until the responsible provider confirms it in writing.

Offer two

Work through the decision

Scoped, paid consulting on a single decision, delivered in writing. A defined question, agreed scope, and written recommendations. This is not a customs claim-filing service.

Who this is for: a single trade or logistics decision you want worked through in writing. Fixed scope, fixed fee.

What it covers

  • ·Mode and port comparison for a specific programme or lane
  • ·Foreign-Trade Zone feasibility and business case framing
  • ·Duty drawback data and exposure readiness — records, traceability and internal controls
  • ·HTS documentation review readiness — what your file needs to survive review
  • ·Tariff and landed-cost analysis for a defined product set

How it works

  1. 1.We agree the question and the scope first, in writing.
  2. 2.You supply the records the question needs — entry data, product detail, quotes, drawings or shipment history.
  3. 3.You receive written options with the assumptions and risks stated plainly, and recommended next steps.
  4. 4.Scope and fee are agreed before any paid work begins. No engagement starts on an open-ended brief.

Consulting output is decision support and readiness work. Formal customs determinations, entry filings, drawback claims and legal or tax positions belong with a licensed customs broker or trade counsel, engaged separately.

One lane. One quote. One second opinion.

If you import or export regularly, send me one current lane or freight problem. I’ll show you what I would investigate before the next booking.

What I am, and what I am not

I am not a licensed customs broker and I do not file customs entries or drawback claims. I do not operate vessels and I do not provide legal or tax advice. Transport booking and contracting, and any customs work, is carried out by appropriately authorized providers who are identified before an engagement starts.

There are no published prices on this site and no promised savings, transit times or outcomes. Scope and fee for consulting are agreed in writing before work starts; freight pricing depends on the cargo, the route and what carriers confirm at the time.
